I made a thing! A thing for Sarah Rees Brennan’s Untold ARC contest. A thing which (I hope) implies angst and Gothic-ness and good old-fashioned creepiness, the likes of which can only be found in Sorry-in-the-Vale. I sort of intended to portray how Kami and Jared’s minds totally WANT to be connected once more, but because of tragedy and author cruelty they have been torn asunder.

I incorporated the Lynburn scarlet and gold onto Jared’s circle (in which he is trapped, implying all sorts of… THINGS) and daisies and green for Kami, because I so love her green shoes with daisies on them. Also the plant-y tendrils are inspired by the covers of THE SUMMER BEFORE I MET YOU and THE SPRING BEFORE I MET YOU. Kami’s tendrils are all swirly and full of blossoms. Jared’s are more bare and pointy. Basically, I have gone FULL Lynburn Legacy in the hopes I get a pretty, pretty ARC in my greedy clutches.

Aw, look how lovely! Plus, true story: Kami’s green shoes with daisies on them are shoes I own.

I am glad I have not been boring people! Deadline cave, and a topic I feel strongly about = many posts. Many, many posts.

I am very glad my books have thus far pleased you! I and my writing = very imperfect, trying to improve, but I love my ladies, I like writing the books and I am glad people like reading them. ;)

I think we could definitely use more amazing ladies, and many more amazing ladies of color. And you give me a fine opportunity to end my Feminist Speeches for the Day with a list of a few awesome female protagonists of colour who spring to mind. (LIST NOT EXHAUSTIVE.)
