There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers. (Sadly, I’m very good at stupid answers. SORRY GUYS.)
It is very kind of you to ask! Tell the Wind and Fire is a book about Lucie, who lives in a city torn in two by dark and light magic. Years ago she and her Aunt Leila had to do certain things in order to save her father from death by dark magic, and in consequence Lucie is regarded as a symbol of light and innocence. But you don’t go through the things Lucie has and come out innocent.
Lucie thinks her boyfriend Ethan is the innocent one, untouched by all the darkness in her life. Until Ethan is accused of treason, and Lucie finds out that Ethan has a doppelganger—a double created by dark magic, thought to be soulless and a harbinger of doom. (DOOM!) Ethan’s powerful family will do anything to hide Carwyn, especially as the city spirals into chaos, and Lucie, feeling sorry for the doppelganger, makes a rash decision that may change all of their lives.
… OKAY THAT’S THE ELEVATOR PITCH I THINK. I hope I did okays.
It is also a retelling of A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, but you don’t have to have read A Tale of Two Cities to read it. ;)
Tell the Wind and Fire will be out next year, as well as the last book in the Lynburn Legacy trilogy. The next part of the Turn of the Story will be out this year. ;)
Aaaand, thank you for all the kind words! You’re a sweet.
